Richmond golden rods & reels society

A Non-Profit Club to Encourage the Activities of Seniors 50 years and older.  Associate memberships are also available to persons under the age of 50.

Who are we?

The club was founded in 1981, has approximately 50 members and is accepting new members. It meets monthly at the Steveston Community Centre. The cost is $30 per year, which includes a Community Centre membership.

The club's purposes are:

  1. To encourage senior members of society to participate in an active, healthy, and interesting life style.

  2. To promote the sports-fishery and wildlife as valued recreational resources.

  3. To provide a varied recreational opportunity for Society members.

  4. To promote an appreciation of sportsmanship, safety, and fellowship amongst Society members.

  5. To support a recreational programme for the Society membership, including fishing, picnics, dinners, travel, and education.
